Project: Broken Hue Self Portrait


Description: Students work from photo reference using only the three primaries as well as white to match the hues, values, and intensities in their skin, hair, clothing, and background to create an abstracted, pixilated self portrait.


Learning Outcomes: Exhibit skill in the use of design tools, techniques, and materials sufficient
to develop a concept into a finished form or product. Distinguish the relative aspects of color perception and color effect as they apply to solving design problems. Exhibit knowledge of color dimension, including hue, value, and saturation.
