Project: The Full Palette
Description: Students create a still life painting from observation. They must examine the changes in hue, value and saturation to accurately depict a convincing illusion of three-dimensional form with a consistent light source.
Learning Outcomes: Exhibit skill in the use of design tools, techniques, and materials sufficient to develop a concept into a finished form or product. Distinguish the relative aspects of color perception and color effect as they apply to solving design problems. Exhibit knowledge of color dimension, including hue, value, and saturation.
